French Sports Lawyers Association

With the Mazeaud Law of 1975, law has infiltrated sports. With the Avice Law of July 16, 1984 (and its various reforms), and with the Sports Code edited in 2006, it has become mandatory. Now, all branches of law (public or private) are concerned with sports law, making it a truly a transversal practice of law. Thus, Sports lawyers are as varied as the rights they practice.

The AADS aims to inform and promote the activity of French sports lawyers, as well as enhance the role and practice of lawyers practicing in the field of sport, while participating in debates, reflection, and the development in liaison with professional organizations and public authorities of practical and ethical rules to accompany its members in the daily exercise of their profession.
